Visitor's Guide to Bronx Zoo: The Largest Metropolitan Zoo in America
Bronx Zoo is not only the largest metropolitan zoo in USA, it is also the best. Managed by Wildlife Conservation society; it holds sprawling enclosures for some of the majestic if endangered animals and fishes on the planet. Built in Bronx Borough of New York State, it hosts many indoor, outdoor exhibits as well as training sessions for animals and kids. Its newest acquisition is a 4-D theater that runs special fauna movies.
From aardvark to polar bear; from anaconda to Nile crocodile, there are around 4000 species well housed in the zoo. Some inclusions have been controversial too; as was a snow leopard cub some time ago. Congo Gorilla Forest and Wild Asia Monorail are two glorious exhibits that recreate forest magic for visitors. You may also take a ride on camels.
