Statue Of Liberty

Frederick Auguste Bartholdi had designed the majestic Eiffel Tower. Then he turned to create the Statue of Liberty which was stationed in New York after a range of hardships. The lady stands in steel with copper varnish and holds a golden leaved torch. It gives the illusory effect of walking ahead with full force, decimating the bondage. Clearly, this is interpreted as victory over slavery and total liberty; justifying the name. The structure looks imposing in Ellis Island. You can be a part of history by checking some anecdotes of the beautiful lady.

Never Miss the Statue of Liberty: Admiring the Marvelous Sculpture in New York City

Originally referred to as Liberty Enlightening the World, the Statue of Liberty is a must see when you're in New York. A trip to New York would never be complete without seeing this awe inspiring figure, both in size and its historical implications.

Basically, the statue is the figure of a robed female who stands as a representation of Libertas, the goddess of freedom in Roman lore. She holds in her right hand the tabula ansata where the date of the American independence is etched. On her other hand, she raises a torch high and proud. At the statue's feet, a broken chain lies symbolizing further freedom and the United States.
