Get Yourself Prepared before You Go: New York City Zip Codes & Popular Area Tourist Attractions
Zip codes in a large multi-district city like New York can be extremely useful for locating attractions, services and the popular parks. If you are planning to travel between the various areas of New York, you may be interested to know that most of the zip code information is available from travel services, mostly located in Manhattan. Other districts like Brooklyn, Bronx and a couple of other places can be a complicated map, especially if you are looking for particular hotels, shops and places to dine.
The New York zip codes are almost like a jigsaw. With most of the museums located in southern zip code areas such as 10004, 10007, 10038 and 10048, you must be able to locate them with zip codes while searching for their exact locations. Hotels in Manhattan are located all around the Central Park area. Although dozens of zip codes surround Central Park itself, finding hotels, shops and malls amongst the surrounding zip codes such as 10021, 10028, 10019, 10036 and 10024 is easy.
Roosevelt Island on the eastern side of the Manhattan peninsula is coded as 10044. This is one of the higher zip code numbers in New York, with lowest being 10001. Zip code 10001 is bordered by West 25th Street and West 35th street in the southeastern corner of the Central Park area.
Many popular budget hotels and places of educational and political importance are situated in the northern zip codes of the Manhattan area. Typical zip codes in the region include 10033, 10032, 10039, 10034 and 10031.
