Opened in 1913, the Grand Central Terminal is a renowned Beaux-arts building, located in Manhattan, New York City. Apart from being the main transportation hub, the terminal is in itself a major tourist destination in New York City.

As its name suggests, the main and central part of the Grand Central is the Main Concourse. The main information booth and ticket booth are located here. Probably the most recognizable icon of the Terminal is the four-faced clock, which is on top of the information booth.

Also while you are waiting in the Main Concourse, do not forget to look up at the cathedral ceiling. The impressive ceiling is blue-green in color and offers views of the nighttime sky. And if you are fortunate, you might just catch a zodiac laser show too!

The Grand Central has a number of restaurants and food outlets too. Majority of these outlets are in the Dining Concourse below the Main Concourse. Oyster Bar is probably the most famous restaurant in the Terminal. Apart from this, the Terminal also has bakeries, delis and even a fresh food market. Also, if you are looking for some coffee, there is Starbucks available too!

Apart from the train platforms and restaurants, there are two main halls in the Terminal: Vanderbilt Hall and Campbell Apartment. Vanderbilt Hall is where most of the art galleries and exhibitions used to be held, and today holds numerous events. On the other hand, the Campbell Apartment is a very elegant and renowned cocktail lounge.

Grand Central Terminal also known as the Grand Central Station or Grand Central is a terminal station in New York. It is the world's largest train station (76 acres).
