For Visitors
Brooklyn Bridge has a wide elevated walkway for pedestrians and cyclists, located in the center of the bridge and much higher than the automobile lanes. Both public transportation and commercial taxis can transit you to the bridge.
To get to Brooklyn Entrance, you can choose 4, 5, or 6 subways and get off at Brooklyn Bridge/City Hall Station, or take J/M/Z to Charmbers Street. To walk to Manhattan side, take A or C trains to High Street, or 2 or 3 Subway and drop off at Clark Street.
If you prefer a fast and direct drive to the bridge, taxicabs are available. It is better to say "I want to go to Old City Hall Plaza" or "City Hall Park", or "Center Street at Spruce" instead of Brooklyn Bridge, for many taxi drivers may not understand where you exactly want to get.
For Drivers
If you are going to drive across East River from Manhattan part, you can merge onto the Brooklyn Bridge via Park Row and Centre Street, near City Hall Park and Steve Flanders Square. If coming from Brooklyn side, you can get onto the bridge via Tillary and Adams Streets, next to the US District Court Building, or turn right to Brooklyn Bridge Blvd from Atlantic Ave.
