The Guggenheim Museum in the New York City is great place to visit, especially for those who are interested in contemporary artwork. Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, a famous architect, the museum is famous for its spiral architecture. There are self-guided audio tours as well as guided tours available at the museum. Everyday between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., a free talk session is held on the artworks and also on the upcoming exhibitions and events. Special events are held on Friday evenings. The museum remains open daily from 10 a.m. to 5:45 p.m., except all Thursdays. On Fridays however, it closes at 7:45 pm because of the special events and exhibitions. It remains open on all holidays apart from Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Tickets to the museum are available online as well as on the spot. Ticket for an adult cost $18. Students and senior citizens get a discount up to 20%. The ticket counter closes 30 minutes before the closing time of the museum.

There is a coatroom where you can unload your coats and bags before you enter the museum. You can get wheelchairs for those who require, as well as small strollers and carrier bags for kids at the coatroom. You can visit the cafeteria and gift shop at the museum building premises.
