This park in the New York City was created as the site of the 1939/1940 New York World's Fair. The 1964/1965 New York World's Fair was also held here. Preserved and controlled by the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, it is a famous tourist attraction in the city. The public buildings of Flushing Meadows Corona Park were renovated with time and feature two sports stadiums, Shea and Arthur Ashe stadiums. There is a Queens Theater in the Park which was used as theater of the New York State pavilion during the 1964/1965 New York World's Fair.
