Central Park SummerStage Information 2011
SummerStage is an annual art performance series first established in 1986 at Rumsey Playfield of Central Park. Over two decades, it has become one of the most featured summer festivals in the park, as well in the whole New York City. Currently, besides Central Park, SummerStage has taken place in other parks throughout five boroughs, including Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn and Staten Island. Each summer, numerous artists of multi-genres and various cultural backgrounds around the world are drawn to the festival and show their genius to New Yorkers and visitors out of the city.
