New York City Full Time - As the WCS's headquarters are based at New York City's Bronx Zoo, the zoo needs staff for global conservation, animal care, non-profit management and park operations. Now, 16 current opportunities of NYC Full Time Jobs are available at the zoo. Two positions are posted within the last 7 days.

Office Manager

- Job Description

- Responsible for planning, submitting, monitoring and reporting on budgets for the division

- Help developing goals and strategic plans for Public Affairs Division

- Keep work plans and track progress for major initiatives

- Provide overall support for Public Affairs initiatives

- Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Government Affairs, Humanities or related field

- Minimum 2 years management experience

- Great job performances and independent working skills

Another position is Point of Sale System Support Specialist that manages the point of sale for ticketing, restaurants and retail stores, including Point of Sale Software & Hardware and Point of Sale Reports. A Bachelor's Degree and three to five years experience with point of sale systems administration are required to qualify for the job. A valid NYC Driver's License is necessary.

New York City Seasonal - From March through October, Bronx Zoo has full and part-time job openings in guest service, retail sales, membership sales, animal exhibits and maintenance and other areas. Currently, there're 30 openings for this job. Just delve into three latest job postings.

Human Resources Clerk

The job aims to provide front office administrative support within the seasonal program office, like reception support, employee paperwork filing and other administrative tasks as assigned. Candidates must have a high school diploma or some college diploma is preferred. At least one year of office experience is required. Excellent written and oral communication skills and customer service orientation skills are preferred. Please note that this position works 30 hours per week from Tuesday to Saturday and pays $8-$9 per hour depending on your experience and performance.

Security Guards

Security guards must ensure zoo guests enjoy a safe experience while exploring the zoo, including medical assistance and other aids. Qualified candidates must possess a valid NYC Security License and have the ability to lift, push and carry heavy objectives. You must be able to stand or walk for long periods in severe weather conditions. The job position pays $10 per hour.

Training Specialist

Training specialists are responsible for development and implementation of Business Service Orientation and Customer Service training programs. A Bachelor's Degree and at least one year of full-time teaching experience are required. The position works at least 30 hours per week from Saturday to Tuesday, running from February to August.

Interns and Volunteers - Bronx Zoo offers a number of internships and volunteer opportunities frequently in many areas, such as guest services, public affairs, park administration and animal care. Four intern opportunities are available now. The most recent posted position is Human Resources Intern, which is an unpaid internship with 15-20 hours work per week.
