Battery Park

During the course of New York travel, the New York Travel Package offers many places for your sightseeing. One place which should be included in your list is the Battery Park.

The Battery Park is a public park, almost 25 acres of land, located at the Battery, which is at the southern tip of Manhattan facing the New York Harbor. The name of the park comes from the fact that artillery battery was stationed in this park at times by the British and the Dutch to protect the settlements behind it. The North end of the park is a Pier called Pier A which was previously a fireboat station and Hope Garden which is a memorial to AIDS victims.
