Battery Park City Ferry Terminal Information

As a 92-acre planned community, Battery Pack City is an area that is separate from Financial District, located on the southwestern tip of lower Manhattan in New York City. Originally called World Financial Center Ferry Terminal, Battery Park City Ferry Terminal was originally constructed in 1989 to provide ferry service between Hoboken and Battery Park City. It served as a temporary structure featuring a floating landing terminal and appurtenances.

On March 18, 2009, the new ferry terminal - Battery Park City Ferry Terminal was open, featuring the design of a permanent floating ferry terminal. Currently, the terminal is equipped with a large passenger waiting area and improved amenities like a concession kiosk, additional seating and restrooms.

Where to get access to the Battery Park City Ferry Terminal? The Battery Pack City Ferry Terminal is situated outside just north of North Cove at the World Financial Center. Its floating dock is seated on the Hudson River and moored at foot of Vesey Street in Hudson River Park. Every day, more than 6000 passenger trips are expected through the terminal. With four bow-loading and two side loading slips, the Ferry Terminal offers slips to ferries, water taxis and sightseeing boats in the Port of New York and New Jersey, encompassing more than three-quarters of floating structure.

As high-speed, low-wake catamarans, NY water taxi can accommodate up to 75 passengers each travel along the East and Hudson Rivers. Stops include East 90th Street, Hunters Point (Queens), Paulus Hook (Jersey City), the Fulton Ferry Landing (Brooklyn), South Seaport (Pier 11), World Financial Center (North Cove, Battery Park (Slip 6) and midtown Manhattan (34th Street).
